• If you experience an outage with your personal telephone line, try calling 911 from another line or safely make your way to the nearest emergency service provider for help.

• Call 1-800-474-5711 (Newfoundland Power) or 1-888-737-1296 (NL Hydro) to report an outage or receive information about an outage.

• Follow all instructions from municipal and provincial agencies to help you prepare for the impending weather.

• Keep your devices charged and have extra batteries on hand.

• Ensure you have an adequate emergency kit including food and water for 72 hours.

• Check on family and neighbours when it is safe to do so.
